Holding the game token in a linked wallet gives a tier with bonuses for build speed, production, troop cost and carry. Tiers use your lowest balance over recent checks.

Your balance is checked regularly. The tier uses the lowest balance of your last few checks, so buying for one day does not count.
If the Wallet page says token perks are not active on this server yet, there are no tiers for now.
