Crop and upkeep: who eats my crop?

Every point of population eats 1 crop per hour, every soldier eats its upkeep, and the hero eats 6. Crop consumption is not sped up on this world.

Your net crop = crop production minus consumption. The resource bar shows consumption / production.

Your village pays for: its own troops at home, its troops on the move, troops it offers in the Gold market, and its soldiers held in enemy traps.

Your troops reinforcing another village are fed by that village. Reinforcements in your village are fed by you.

Roman Horse Drinking Trough and the Diet control artifact lower what troops eat.

If crop runs out while net crop is negative, troops start to starve. See Starvation.
