Normal attack, raid, reinforcement or scouting: which one?
A raid steals resources and both sides lose only part of their troops. A normal attack fights to the end and is needed for rams, catapults, chiefs and capturing oases.
| Raid | Normal attack | |
|---|---|---|
| Fight | Both sides lose a part | The loser loses everything |
| Loot from villages | Yes, even if you lose (survivors carry) | Only if you win |
| Rams and catapults | Do nothing | Work |
| Chiefs (loyalty) | No | Yes, if you win |
| Capture an oasis or artifact | No | Yes (with your hero) |
| Free your trapped soldiers | No | Yes, if you win |
Reinforcement: your troops go to help a village and stay there until you call them back.
Scout: only scouts go. They see resources and troops. See Scouting.
What works best
- Use raids for farming resources.
- Use normal attacks to clear out an army, break walls or destroy buildings.
