How do I found a new village with settlers?

Train 3 settlers in a Residence or Palace at level 10, have enough culture points, and send exactly 3 settlers to an empty field.
  1. Build a Residence or Palace to level 10 (this gives a free expansion slot).
  2. Collect enough culture points (2,000 for your 2nd village).
  3. Train 3 settlers in the Residence or Palace.
  4. Find an empty field on the Map and choose "Found a village here".
  5. Send exactly 3 settlers and nothing else.

The new village starts with 800 of each resource and a Main Building at level 1.

If someone settles there first, or you lack culture points or a slot when they arrive, the settlers come home.

On this world one settler takes about 1.5 to 2 minutes at Residence level 10 (Gauls 88 s, Romans 104 s, Teutons 120 s), and less at higher levels.
