Simple defence rules

Keep a cranny, a wall and some defensive troops, spend your resources, and don't be the easiest target near your neighbours.
What works best
  • Cranny level 10 (Gauls 5) hides 35% of your storage.
  • A few defensive units plus a wall make raids cost the raider more than they bring.
  • Mix infantry and cavalry defence: attackers can bring either.
  • Spend before you log out: build, train, or send resources to another village.
  • Keep scouts at home. They block enemy scouting.
  • Gauls: build traps; each one catches an attacker.
  • Join an active alliance and reinforce each other.
